What’s Blooming with the Shelby Gardener’s Club?
The Shelby Gardeners Club invites all enthusiastic gardeners to join them for their future events. Our meetings are always the second Thursday of each month at 10:00 am with programs starting at 1:00 pm. Programs are open to the public and free of charge. Unless otherwise noted, all programs take place at the Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center at 4101 River Bends Drive. Heritage Garden Clean-up Day begins at 10:00 am.
We welcome the public to help – it’s a great time to learn
how to prepare your garden for the new growing season.
May 28
Heritage Garden Planting Day begins at 9:30 am. We always welcome gardeners wishing to have fun planting. This is a great opportunity t learn gardening techniques.
June and July meetings are for members only - closed to the public.
July 9
A free Hands-on Demonstration at Heritage Gardens begins at 1:00 pm. Includes multiple useful and basic gardening techniques demonstrated by knowledgeable Shelby Gardeners Club members.
July 16
Special Activity: MSU Tollgate Gardens Guided Tour in Novi, Michigan at 10:00 am. There is a fee and advance reservations for attending this activity are required by July 9.
